This woodcut was made with multiple blocks, using water soluble ink. It is a striking composition which makes effective use of carefully graded tones to create an almost abstract picture. 

Li Yitai graduated from the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. During 1987 he taught in France and has written extensively on the subject of printmaking.
