Zhao Zongzao

This woodcut, which uses oil based ink, is a dramatic landscape, with high contrasts and bold cutting.

 

Zhao Zongzao won a prize at the Norwegian Print Biennale in 1984 and has been visiting scholar at the Australian National University and the University of Wisconsin. He has held a variety of important posts at the China National Academy of Fine Arts and with other organisations.
