Wang Bing

This print was made using oil based ink and depicts the Wenbu people of Tibet, where Wang Bing spent his childhood. The highly detailed and varied cutting creates a complex image, with many different textures and striking contrasts, combined with a very strong sense of place.

 

Wang Bing studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and now lives in Dusseldorf, Germany.
