Li Yanpeng

This woodcut, made using oil based ink, is a beautiful depiction of the mountains of Northern China. It is extremely skilfully made, with a subtle use of muted colour and delicate shading to achieve a quiet and peaceful image.

 

Li Yanpeng graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Bejing and has since won numerous prizes for his printmaking.
