Chen Qi

This multi block woodcut is printed using water soluble ink. It is this which enables the artist to achieve very subtle tonal variation, from pitch black to the lightest grey, in this depiction of a contemporary cityscape..

Chen Qi was born in Nanjing, where he trained and now teaches. His work has been widely exhibited in China and overseas.
