An Bin
AN BIN (b 1972)
This woodcut, which is printed with oil based ink, uses the contrast between black and white, together with energetic cutting to dramatic and expressionistic effect.
An Bin graduated from the China Academy of Fine Arts, where he is now associate professor. During 1997 and 1998 he studied printmaking at the University of Ulster and then toured Europe and the USA.
His work has been exhibited throughout China and in the West.
